To chew gum constantly, so that at no moment is your mouth free of gum, similar to chain smoking. To chain chew properly, one must unwrap the new piece before spitting out the old one. Chain chewing is usually employed by gum addicts or simply to add some flavor to a dull day.

I chain chew my way through slow days, it really helps to pass the time.
