Gating

The active verb form of "Gated."
(Tactical/Combat): To intentionally encroach on a target's personal space or cut off their escape routes. Unlike "stalking" (following from behind), gating involves static containment or "looming" over a subject from the front or sides to deny them movement.
(Social): To hover uncomfortably close to someone, invading their personal bubble without touching them.

Social: "Why is that guy gating on me? He needs to back up."
Security: "Hold position. He is gating the emergency exit."
Boxing: "Stop chasing him and start gating him into the corner!"

Thumb Grazing

Usually referring to album browsing on Facebook or the likes, when you don't have the time or the inclination to look at every photo in the album - instead you graze through the thumbnails and pick the ones you want to see closer.

Oh yeah I was thumb grazing through Johnny's Christmas album on Facebook and found three photo's with me in it.

Copy grafting

It's soap grafting for copywriters. In advertising, it's an art of attaching a new "low-on-content" copy with an old "high-on-content" one to fool the client that the copy has been reworked.

It took be just five minutes in copy grafting a brochure. Re-drafting it would have taken weeks!

Deci Grading System

A commonly used system for rating physical attractiveness, the person in question is given a mark out of 10 to one decimal point. For example Kate Hudson would score a solid 7.8 out of 10.

It is more commonly referred to as the D-Grading System.
