A female version of an Uncle Tom, usually a self-hating Asian who degrades their own people in hopes of acceptance from others.

Auntie Tom

On 4chan's /lgbt/ board (/tttt/), a pejorative for trans people (particularly trans women) who attempt to win the support/approval of transphobes by catering to them. These people often denigrate themselves to fall just outside transphobes' claims as to why trans people are bad (thus allowing themselves to be "one of the good ones") while looking down on other trans people (the "bad ones").

One notable Auntie Tom is Blaire White. Like many transmedicalists and conservatives, she ridicules non-binary people, has said to trans women "you are not trans", is "against" transgender children being allowed to transition in any form (medical or social), and that even acknowledging a child's transness is "grooming". (Blaire voted for Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024.)

Like Uncle Toms, Auntie Toms fail to realize they are only "one of the good ones" as a matter of convenience. As a historic parallel, consider the Association of German National Jews, a Jewish organization that supported Adolf Hitler because they believed the Nazis would only wipe out the "racially inferior" Eastern European Jews right up until they were all sent to the concentration camps.

In much the same way, Auntie Toms are also tokens, tokens which will eventually be spent. When they get upset over transphobic laws stripping their rights, conservatives shrug and move on because they don't actually care about the "good ones". And if trans death camps ever get built, Auntie Toms will also meet their demise.

Calm down Auntie Tom, the RNC isn't for another month.
