judgment-free zone

A "judgment-free zone" is a setting where friends turn a blind eye to petty social gaffes in the interest of promoting a laid back environment.

The term is often used to assure another person that they do not need to worry about behavior (their own or that of another) for which they just apologized.

Tim: "Sorry about what happened at the party last night. Do you think my stripping act in the kitchen freaked anyone out?"

Jon: "Hey, judgment-free zone, man."

Twilight Zone of Sleep Deprivation

The experience one gets at a certain point of energized exhaustion. When the body is starting to shut-down due to late-night/early morning hours, but is being forced to function through a surplus of caffeine intake at regular intervals.

Anyone currently in the Zone will feel the symptoms of weariness coupled with jitteriness, loopiness, possible dizziness, and a distinct feeling of being overwhelmed by whatever it is you are trying to stay awake for. S

pelling as well as communicating will most likely become difficult as well as thinking in general.

I have over 100 calculus problems due tomorrow. Staying up to work on them has thrown me into a serious Twilight Zone of Sleep Deprivation. Why is the computer screen moving?

Dude, I'm tired, but I want to stay up with her. It'll be some crazy twilight zone sleep deprivation, but totally worth it.

coworker zone

Similar to the Friend Zone, the coworker zone is a lonely state you find yourself in after your attempts to initiate an outside-of-work friendship with a coworker are rejected. Can also be used as a verb – to be "coworker zoned" is to be denied friendship by a coworker, thereby placing you in the coworker zone.

I asked Charles if he wanted to hang out and work on the project some time, but he totally missed the point that I wanted to hang out and just said he wasn't really interested in working on the project. He totally put me in the coworker zone.
