Sydney Standard

The supposedly high standard of food, transport, shopping etc. found in Sydney, Australia. This phrase is used by up-themselves Sydneysiders (particularly of the North Shore and Eastern Suburbs varieties) who are of the opinion that nothing is as good elsewhere as it is in Sydney.

Double standard

One that feminists never mention is the way that if a guy hits a female, he's no longer human to his own sex (he never really was to opposite sex anyway, because he wasn't one of their own), and no further thought is given to the matter, but if a female stabs a guy she is with at the time with a fork or a knife in the shoulder in his sleep, saying she had a dream that he was a killer (which isn't crazy, it's someone too cowardly to attack an alert person) even the opposite sex defends her and says nobody is perfect (though females already defend themselves regardless of whether guys step in to do it, they have a built in self defense mode all the time), then tries for some reason to make things work (almost like he did something wrong), despite no indication that a relationship like that will last.

You only hear about double standards that feminists will benefit from talking about from feminists themselves.

Examples of double standards:

(About a male boss): "I love his take-charge attitude!"
(About a female boss): "She's such a bitch! She's probably on her period."

(About a man who has sex): "What an awesome stud/legend/boss he is!"
(About a woman who has sex): "What a disgusting slut/whore/skank she is!"

Kev, Zaz and C Mac had all been with Kerry in the past so it gave them a gold standard for when Zaz told them that he'd hooked up with a chick who gave worse head than Kerry.
