Meta

A slang word used for companies who changed their names in order to restore their repetition rather than accept its controversies.
Example #1: That company pulled out a Meta. Such a shame.

Example #2: Wow, a Meta scheme; I hate it.

Meta-Technic

* The idea that technology has progressed or become “meta” to be what is commonly considered to be technology. A clear example being A.I. and its independent, self directed evolution, regardless of the influence or lack thereof by its creators.

* The idea that due to the ever increasing technological progress in a short time span, ideas of “Modernity” and “Postmodernism” no longer accurately describe the current setting of the world.

* The idea that technological advancement will increase in such complexity that it will be indistinguishable from the biological and organic world in which it takes place.

Meta-goblin

A basement dwelling PvP gamer that insistently plays the most optimal characters, strategies or buys the best items at every opportunity. They *have* to win by any means necessary.

This behaviour is concomitantly linked with a lack of playing ability, which is observed whenever they are forced to play anything but meta-picks.

Meta-goblins act as a source of frustration for other players, as they often breach PvP etiquette within the community of said game.
"Look at this meta-goblin, he only plays Bellona in duel with death's embrace."

*Looks at his match history on SmiteGuru*

"Oh, and anytime Bellona gets banned they lose because they're incapable of playing any other character".

Meta

Short for "metaverse".

In use since at least 2009:

Papagian-nidis et al. 3 have argued that the table needs to be further extended by including the prefix ‘meta’, short for metaverse.
Electron Commer Res (2009) 9: 135–148
DOI 10.1007/s10660-009-9030-8
Published online: 10 March 2009© Springer Science+Business Media, LLC 2009

Also used in conjunction with other words, meta+word (or word+meta), meaning exactly metaverse+word, e.g.
Metaverse Navigator (イセカイナビ, Isekainabi)?, Meta-Nav for short,
Meta Zone (Metaverse Zone, or even just “Metas” as the shortened form of Metaverse Zones)
etc.
The metaverse has infinite potential. AI will even help to design wonderful 3D immersive spaces within the meta.

Meta AI

An AI on the Messager app that you can talk to. Never play games with the AI, it is really dumb & goes off track a little bit too easy. Plus, I once asked it 6 + 6 and it gave me 35. Reminds me of the "Spell red" meme. Don't get me wrong, it generates great images. But in general, the AI sucks. Fuck you Mark Lizardberg!
Me: Dude, Meta AI sucks ass!
