a fashionable usually long chain attached to a wallet to prevent theft. typicall yooked to the belt loop or pants somehow. sometimes worn strictly for fashion. popular in rocker, biker, punk, goth, and recently hip hop culture.

That wallet chain is very fashionable, but it also makes it so people can't pickpocket you.

Chain-Shitting

(n.)- The act of 2 or more people shitting right after each other usually leading one to have to smell the other persons nasty shit fumes because you either:

a. have one bathroom

b. have to take a shit badly

It's origins are found in the word chain-smoking, meaning to smoke cig after cig.

Chain Surfing

Chain Surfing happens when someone is surfing the internet, sees an "interesting" link then opens it in a new tab or new window (who the heck still opens in a new window?). The person briefly checks the new tab/window then stumbles upon a new link and then opens it in a new tab/window. The person will keep repeating the process until he realizes that he is now looking up nazism and he has wasted more than 30 minutes reading random stuff not really related to the original website. This usually happens on wikipedia, youtube, cracked, etc.

Chain

A chain is a unit of length; it measures 66 feet. The chain in wildland firefighting is used as the measure of the rate of spread in chains per hour.

It is also used a lot by the USDA Forest Service by hand crews to see how far they have dug line or how far they have to go.

"How much farther are we going?"

"About 4 chains." (264 ft.)

"The wildland fire is spreading at 40 chains an hour." (2640 ft. or 1/2 a mile in 1 hour)
