politically correct (conservative)

Contrary to popular conservative belief, political correctness is not a solely left-wing phenomenon.
politically correct (conservative)

Examples of conservative correctness:

frankfurters became "hot dogs" during world war I

french fries became freedom fries in 2003

David Horowitz's "Academic Bill of Rights"

attempts to "teach the controversy" by creationists in biology courses, and global warming deniers in environmental science courses

Any number of campaigns against plays or films, such as Life of Brian or Jesus Christ Superstar, on the grounds that they are "offensive to Christians;" conservative Catholic groups are particularly fond of this tactic

Encouragement of anti-gay activists to eschew the words "gay" and "homosexual" in favor of such phrases as "unnatural vice" and "anti-Christian"

Global warming deniers whining about being called "deniers." They prefer the term "skeptic."

"Enhanced interrogation techniques"

"Homicide bombing"

Atheist billboards are seen as insensitive to Christians.

Republicans changing the names of committees in the House of Representatives to change "labor" to "workforce" and remove any mention of "civil rights"

Free speech zones

The Dixie Chicks causing controversy by criticizing George Bush

ward churchill getting blasted to high heavens for insulting innocent americans (although this was definitely justified)

The whole fox news "war on christmas" nonsense

Conservatives

Butthurt Conservative

A conservative that feels victimized when something doesn't go their way. Often comes with the feeling that anything that doesn't reflect their world view has some unfair bias against them.
Only a Butthurt Conservative would use a website like urban dictionary to slander people they don't agree with

Secular Conservative

Someone who is non-religious and liberal on social issues, but conservative on fiscal policy and military policy.
John is a secular conservative, he's against the teaching of Intelligent Design in the classrooms of public schools but for the war in Iraq when it started.

Fake Conservative

A weak-minded, indoctrinated humanoid, with immutable groupthink tendencies in support of certain politicians despite glaringly anti-conservative voting records.

Fake Conservatives ADORE emotionally potent, oversimplifications of the issues and hold fast to a pathetic "team spirit" tribalistic attitude at all costs. Fake Conservatives worry not about sadistic social policies, only that they identify as Conservative, and to Hell with everyone else.
A Fake Conservative blindly supports individuals who have tended to vote against human rights, national sovereignty and personal freedoms.

cappuccino conservative

A self-centered individual with conservative political values and leanings who thinks nothing of spending upwards of $5 for a single cup of hot liquid (cappuccino) but is less likely to have empathy for the less fortunate by supporting social/political causes catering to the "underserved" because it does not provide a good return on their investment i.e., United Way, Habitat for Humanity or Planned Parenthood. The conservative belief is that they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps, so should others beneath them on lower rungs of the economic ladder.
The cappuccino conservative (CappuCon) turns a deaf ear to the plea for supporting efforts to raise the minimum wage because he worked hard for his six-figure salary and believed others should do the same. The cappuccino conservative also is not supportive of United Way efforts because too much of the money goes to programs for people on the other side of the tracks.

california conservative

A California conservative is an individual who identifies as conservative but operates within the unique political landscape and cultural context of California. Unlike conservatives in other parts of the country, California conservatives tend to hold a more progressive stance on certain social issues, such as LGBTQ rights and environmental protection.

They often embrace a pragmatic approach, combining conservative fiscal policies with a willingness to support progressive social policies. California conservatives recognize the importance of fiscal responsibility and limited government intervention in economic matters. They advocate for low taxes, reduced government spending, and a business-friendly environment to foster economic growth and job creation. However, they also acknowledge the need for certain government programs and regulations to address pressing environmental challenges and income inequality. They like shooting guns.
Tyler: "I never understood how someone could be a conservative in California. Isn't it all liberal out there?"
Ryan: "Well, being a California conservative means finding common ground between conservative principles and the progressive context of the state. We focus on fiscal responsibility but also support social issues like marriage equality and protecting the environment."
Alex: "Yeah, and we like to shoot guns."

anti-conservative

A (usually atheist) individual that is deeply opposed to conservative institutions, values and viewpoints to the point that their opposition to conservatism is more powerful than their support of liberalism, socialism or whatever centrist, leftist or anti-authoritarian view they may otherwise identify most readily with.
In the 2008 Canadian election, a strong anti-conservative consensus threatened to bring about a level of solidarity between the otherwise antagonistic Liberal, NDP, Green and Bloc Quebecois parties.
