Hipster Dufus

A word whose origins come from the hit television sitcom "Seinfeld". One of the recurring characters, Cosmo Kramer, had been called this (as far as I know, on more than one occasion).

I assume it's supposed to be an insult, referring to the person as someone who thinks they're cool, yet is (according to the insulter) quite the opposite.

A Lesbian whom is VERY fashionable and keeps up on the latest trends and styles while staying true to her queer roots. She doesn't get caught up in who's wearing who, she's usually the type to start trends, and surrounds herself with other fashionable like minded queers with style.

Some are skinny boi dykes emboding James dean type vibes, with tight jeans, chuck taylors and a cigg in hand at all times, while more feminine dykes sometimes don pin up styles and vintage personas.

They read NYLON, LULA, FLY, BLACKBOOK, 10, Bon AND W magazine religiously.

A good number of these lesbians mix high end couture with their thrift store finds creating unique looks original to themselves.

The girlier types often get mistaken as "straight" fahionistas.

The characters from "The Itty Bitty Titty Committee" are hipster dykes. Shane, Carmen, Jenny, and Alice from "The L Word". Also Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are thought of as hipster dykes by some. A bevy of high fashion models including Amanda Moore, Tasha Tilberg, & Jenny Shimizu, in addition to others, some out...some not, fit the look as well.
