Dessert Alert

When there's a great dessert (i.e. cake, cupcakes, brownies etc.) at a festive event and you want to tell your friends about it in a non-conspicuous way. You can text it, or walk over and nonchalantly say, "Dessert Alert."

Anna: (thinking to herself) Look at that chocolate covered carrot cake! I have to tell Rachel about it!!...
Anna walks casually over to Rachel and whispers..
"Dessert Alert."
Rachel: " I'll head for it immediately after I finish this conversation with this person.

Merp Alert

When a situation is beginning to become awkward. You know that it is about to be a merp situation however to avoid saying merp in the near future you warn the person you're talking to by saying "merl alert" which insists that they are about to say something merp worthy...

Are you going out tonight? we should meet up.

3 hours later....

..merp alert

"oh sorry I totally forgot to respond!"
