The Knights of Columbus

A Catholic service fraternity for Catholic men aged 18 and up. Started by the *Venerable Father Micheal J McGivney in New Haven Connecticut, the Knights of Columbus is a service organization which Catholic men participate to support the Roman Catholic Church and people in need of service. Often called "the strong Right arm of the Church" Knights pride themselves in humble service for Christ's Church on earth. Knights have financed things such as the March For Life (in Canada and the U.S.A), proposition 8 in California in support of the true definition of Holy matrimony, and have renovated many Catholic Churches all across the world. There are about 1,800,000 members, many from the Philippines, the US and Canada. members in 2008 have contributed around $144,000,000 to charities and have done over 50,000,000 hours in community service hours in that year alone. The values of each members reflect the aims of the Catholic organization which are: charity, unity, brotherhood and patriotism. Because of these 4 values, many knights are in the military and help veterans.

*Venerable is a title given to Catholics who are in the 2nd stage to Sainthood.

Parishioner 1: Oh Robert is a member of the "The Knights of Columbus"?

Parishioner 2: Yup, he ushers at Mass 1 Sunday per month with the knights and helps with renovating the Church and organizes youth activities!

White Knight

A simp whose main trait is showing respect or defending women, no matter what the situation is. The main objective is to impress the women and possibly, get pussy, at the end of the day.
They will call you a misogynist and a degenerate when they think the situation is getting out of their hands, and the person they are arguing with starts being rational.

Man I am not against women equality, but JJ is being a total White Knight without even knowing about the situation. Pretty schewpid ain't it?

Someone who sticks up for a friend or person in hopes of getting something out of it other then trying to help them.

Mostly males who trys to win over the girl they're protecting, yet making the girl seem bad.

White Knight

On an internet forum, a person who defends a member who is clearly wrong, usually with the hopes of gaining brownie points with said member. Often seen as negative behavior.

Similar to playing Devil's Advocate, but specific to internet forums.

Member 1: Why all the hate? He made a valid point and you guys are just dismissing him.

Member 2: Dude, stop white knighting, the guy's a troll. You're just making it worse.

A common misconception is that the great rock and roll band KISS's name stands for Knights In Service of Satan. While a clever backronym, KISS is in fact put in all caps solely for emphasis.

Dude! KISS rocks! But it doesn't actually mean Knights In Service of Satan.

Knightmare

Large robots that are piloted by humans in the anime series Code Geass, that have replaced the army tank, and all of which look like the Transformers.

While they may look cool at first, knightmares are not as awsome as a transformer.
