A small area of facial hair just below the lower lip in the center; technically called a mouche. It is smaller than a soul patch or jazz patch. The style was made famous by African-American jazzmen of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

I vividly remember Dizzy Gillespie with his jazz spot playing his bent trumpet in concert.
