From the TV cartoon South Park - Cheese Poofs is the favored snack of Cartman, regarly bought for him by Cartman's mom. The ultimate non-nutritous TV snack.
After the tv series got regognition, "cheese poof" became a popular slang word with various meanings. It can be used as an insult as well as a word for all sorts of unhealthy snacks.
According to rumour, "cheese poof" crisps exist in the real world too. Possibly an attempt to ride on the South Park wave.

1. (original) I'm not fat, I'm big-boned. Now give me those cheese poofs, damnit!
2. (extended) Man, I'm hungover. Let's go grab some cheese poof kinda snack.
3. (insult) You wanna go home to bed and it's not even midnight? Don't be such a cheese poof!

Snookie Poof 

The top section of hair that is pulled back by a tacky clip into a poof that towers about 8 inches high from the head. It might just be the most ridiculous thing you've seen anyone do to their hair. A total extreme from just pulling back your bangs with a bobby pin and giving it a little push forward. A barely 20 something 'Jersey Shore' MTV show cast member claims to have made this 'famous'. Someone needs to tell her that it's just bad hair, not famous. Lets remember she is now making 10K an episode so maybe she can find a hair dresser OFF the shore.

An animal that appears great in size, but, once you touch it, is actually very small and only appears so large because it has a great deal of fur. Like a pom pom, but alive, and, also, not at all.
