Pinger

A slur used in online games targeted at Chinese players who play on NA West servers. The word derives from Ping, the time it takes for a packet to reach the server. Chinese players always have over 100 Ping so they are called Pingers. Being Chinese in an online game has negative connotations because of the likeliness to cheat and evade bans. Many Chinese players will claim that they are Japanese, but can not speak a word of Japanese beyond "konichiwa".

A southern term for Gingers who try to color their hair some other color like purple. Purple + Ginger = Pinger. Pronounced "Pin Ger".
