Mr fuckboy is a common term that can be used to refer to a person who likes to go around messing with girls with, no real intention of keeping a loyal, long term relationship unless friends with benefits is one. It can be used as a code name so, it's easier to talk about someone and not get caught in the act. It can also be used as a simple joke.

academic fuckboy

An academic fuckboy can be found in grad school most likely. Basically the same thing as a normal fuckboy, which is an “asshole boy who is into strictly sexual relationships; he will lead a girl on and let her down, then apologize. Boys like this will pretend to genuinely care about the girl but always fail to prove the supposed affection. He almost never makes plans because he has to hangout on his terms which could be the most whimsical of times. He will always come crawling back because he is a horny prick and can not withstand the dispossession of one of his baes, because he has more than one that's for sure.” The characteristics of an academic fuck boy are a little more complicated. He tries to make himself sound so smart by taking about writing his thesis or dissertation. You let your guard down a little and think there is no way someone who is so smart and educated could act so dumb. Wrong! He carries a briefcase instead of a backpack to class like an asshole. He preys on the first years. He will tell you that he really needs to focus on his school work and can’t really text you anymore the next day after y’all hookup. Tries to pretend that he isn’t like all the rest of the guys because he supports feminism but does shit like that.

Girl: He so smart and cute! Plus, he is in grad school so you know he is way better than any guys in undergrad.
