Cryhole

The closed off area in the lower thread path in a sewing or embroidery machine. This closed off area contains the bobbin case and bobbin which will reflect a number of issues if the machine is misthreaded or in need of adjustment or repair. No sewist (regardless of experience level) has ever not been frustrated because they witnessed natural sewing disasters in this part of sewing machine anatomy: loose/tight bobbin tension, broken needle, birds nests, compacted lint, damaged bobbin case, ect. This nickname references to an image circulated by regretsy.com where common sewing machine parts were relabeled as pop culture references or slang.

I was almost done sewing this project when I realized my stitches where all jacked up. Time to dive into the cryhole and figure out what went wrong.
