A term for excessive meetings (typically Microsoft Teams) added to a work schedule. Often serves as a net negative rather than a positive to the whole team or project.

"Management: Why has no progress been made on the project?

Employee: meeting creep has taken up most of my day"

When a manager or superior keeps pushing back a meeting in small increments.

To meeting edge.

My boss and I had a meeting at 10, then he pushed it up to 10:15, then to 10:30, then to 11:00 and finally to 12:00. He was meeting edging me all morning!

meerkat meeting

When a spontaneous meeting starts in a Cubicle Office. Usually, social based and not in the least bit business related. A Meerkat Meeting often spreads to other cubicles via eavesdropping.

Cubicle Employee #1 (stands from his chair): Hey did you see the baseball game last night?

Cubicle Employee #2 (stands from his chair): I did! 9th Inning rally was epic.

Cubicle Employee #3 (stands from his chair): That hottie behind home plate... wow.

Cubicle Manager #1 (Walking past): Stop wasting time with your Meerkat Meeting!
