Gentrifactory

Noun. gen-tri-fac-to-ry | jen-trə-fak-t(ə-)rē

A building or group of buildings that spur an influx of middle-class or wealthy people that results in the displacement of earlier, usually poorer residents.

Coined in 2022 by poet Marie Tisdell.

That new development on Church Street is a gentrifactory. There's no way our kids will be able to live here.
