Thanksgiving orphan

Someone who has nowhere to go on Thanksgiving because they are far away from family and friends. A Thanksgiving orphan is someone who is taken in by friends or another family to share in the Thanksgiving feast.

The container or receptacle used to store all the socks that become orphaned when their mates mysteriously disappear during the laundry cycle.

Jerry was able to "adopt" 21 pairs of socks during his year-end clean up of his sock orphanage. The remaining orphaned socks were euthanized.

Orphan's Paradox

A child who's raised without nurturing love will behave aggressively towards others to the point of pushing away those who could give love to that child, thereby keeping the child in an unloving environment.

As an orphan I acted out because I wanted a family. No family would adopt me because I acted out. I was trapped in the orphan's paradox.

Adult Orphan

Any person of legal adult age who is parent less, due to death, or being abandoned. Or a person whom has aged out of the adoption process

Example: Jamie's parents both passed away in a car accident when she was 17, her grandma took care of her til she was 18-19 then passed on and Jamie is now an adult orphan and is left with out any parental figures.
