Social Networking

(n.) A website that generally stopped the use of email. These websites rarely load, due to a constant server overload. They also ruined literacy of children by introducing the acronym.

(v.) When a person prefers to talk to their "friends" online instead of in person. Generally used by nerds who enjoy insulting others and not having the balls to insult them to their face. When this is used, that person is generally anonymous, due to the risk of being seen in public (which they really don't have to worry about, because they're always sitting in front of a computer). Social networking is also used by stalkers, due to the ability to appear as someone you are not. This tactic is also used by people who love hearing "omg ur soo hot lolol" and use a google picture, saying it is them.

Social networking is gay.

Antisocial Networking

Using a social networking web site or service to connect to other people but never communicating with those people once they have been established as a connection.

I can't believe it... we haven't spoken to Randy since high school. He added us as friends on Facebook but never responds to any of our messages. He has over 100 friends but we've never even seen him post a comment. Talk about antisocial networking!

Generally a website (ex: facebook, myspace) where people can add "friends", (generally people they may see once a day and never communicate with in person, or close friends they actually do associate with) and communicate with them through multiple ways such as leaving comments on posted pictures or blogs, or perhaps sending them a message they can read when they sign into the site at a later time.

Guy 1: I just joined a social networking site! It pwns!

Guy 2: Yeah right, social networking is the gayest thing to happen to Earth since reality tv.

social networking binge

1) When a person occassionally feels like sharing/posting a TON of messages on a social networking website, usually in a short period if time.

2) A phenomenon that occurs to people who don't post on social networking cites too often, but when they do they post ALOT quickly.

12:24pm "Good news! I worked out today!"
12:25pm "Argh! Im bored, FML!"

Programming / Networking Instructor

A very evil person. This person loves to whip her students with Cat5 cable and make them do 87 page chapters in 5 minutes, or they fail the semester. She also has a wierd obsession with one of the head persons there, always threatening to send them out, but never does. She also blames the A.M. Class for all of the server problems, saying we are all hackers, but the P.M. Class doesn't do ANYTHING wrong.

See evil.

Today, our Programming / Networking Instructor told us to do chapter 3 in 5 minutes or we will fail the whole semester.
