A faux socialist; one who professes to follow socialist principles, but in fact opposes or undermines them at every turn. Tony Blair's "New Labour" in the UK is a well-known example.

Tony Blair took the socialist Labour Party in a new direction in 1997, creating the fauxcialist and neoliberal "New Labour".

The act of pretending to be involved in a socialist community for personal reasons that have nothing to do with the people who are actually involved. i.e. to alleviate guilt, or to get that socio-hippie-freak lover to complete the collection.

v. Pretending to masturbate while providing an appropriate sound effect, usually in response to an idiotic suggestion from a friend, a lengthy explanation from someone that is completely unnecessary, or anything else that annoys the fauxbater

Also an excellent way for someone to show their distaste for virtually any social situation, conversation, or encounter
