It's a DISEASE you retards. Someone with the disease can't just start eating like normal. For those of you who say it's only for rich teen girls with low self esteem, you're way wrong. It can stem from many things. So I suggest you keep your mouth shut if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

a person suffering from a disease called anorexia which is sometimes shortened as ana

an anorexic constantly thinks their fat whether they weight 90 lbs or 140lbs and have a BMI which is very low and unhealty

anorexic suffer from psychological problems and may show symptoms like cooking for others but never eating, restricting etc, and will need to go into recovery or psychological treatments to recover.

My good friend is anorexic and I am trying to get her to get some help befor eit is too late.

alcorexia

Alcorexia is a syndrome where a person on diet will drink but not eat, in order to consume fewer calories. You end up at this bad result from some simple logical steps:

1) You are on diet and counting calories.
2) You are going out for drinks with friends. You've got to be social!
3) You realise that beer and wine have a lot of calories.
4) You have to decide how to avaoid going "over budget" for your calories - eat supper and drink water later, or skip supper and go drinking?
5) You decide to go drinking!
6) You drink on an empty stomach
7) Hilarity ensues. Hilarity often includes falling over or vomiting.

Alcorexia involves skipping meals to save calories, calories that are "spent" on alcohol instead.

A SERIOUS MENTAL DISORDER! Absolutely not an extreme diet, you fuckheads! Get your facts straight. I have anorexia, and let me tell you how horrible it is. Every day of my life is a battle. Every day. Try living a day in my shoes and see how it feels. People with anorexia use food as a way to cope with feelings they can't express or deal with. It's a coping mechanism with feelings of comfort and safety attached. It can't be 'cured' by 'eating a friggen sandwich' or 'having a milkshake'. No. It can only be treated by seeking therapy, nutrition counseling, and/or psychiatry. Anorexia is NOT a choice. It is a disease, and unfortunately completely misconceived as a pathetic diet. Well you're wrong. Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of all mental disorders. Diet? I think not. Please be informed on the reality of this disease. It's not something we do for fun.It's the worst, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Anorexia is aweful. I hate it.

An instance when one believes they possess acne/bad skin. They may or may not at one point in time, but they always come to a point where they believe they have the acne that they don't. They become obsessed over something that isn't even there.

Sam looked in the mirror and complained about her skin - she was acnorexic.
