Smackwad

Akin to Smacktard slightly less offensive however. One can often call their friends a smackwad without being punched in the nuts on account of it not implying they are a retard... just a jerk. While -wad can be applied to a multitude of derogatory terms to imply the person is not just a 'jerk' for instance but a WAD of it (emphasis), smackwad is one of those words you can use is everyday conversation without really offending anybody enough to suffer repercussions.

A fool, a jerk

A: "I just swore infront of our head of year and she flipped on me..."
C: "Smackwad..."

C: "Aah! You spilled crap on me. Jesus, when will you stop being a smackwad?!"

A student, or intellectual, whom regularly isn't intellectually curious about every aspect of their discipline. Also a student, or intellectual, whom regularly finds ways to reduce his/her workload, due to laziness.

The slackademic spent most of lecture analyzing the professor's words and emotions in order to glean only the most important ideas to reduce the amount of material to review in preparation for the exam.

Slackadaisical

(adj.) A term used to describe someone who is quite lazy and unaware of urgency in any situation.

Someone who has characteristics of a slacker and the awareness of British Petroleum during an oil spill.

Slack(er) and lackadaisical combined. Usually this person gives off their manner by giving commands with no real effect.

1. C: J, I need you to fix the dishwasher in the kitchen.

J: Alright, I'll fix it in a minute.

C: Damnit J!!! Quit being so damn slackadaisical and do something for once!

2. K: Alright, finals are coming up. I'm pretty hungover... so, ummm.... do whatever.

C: You're pretty slackadaisical today, K.

3. L: If I ran her department, I'd be a friggin' terrorist!

C: Yeah we never get anything accomplished because she's so slackadaisical.

L: What?

C: If the entire store were to catch fire, she'd take the longest because she doesn't give a damn.

L: I see. She never organizes her paperwork until it's too late. She's so Slackadaisical!

C: Now you get it!
