Rank Sentimentalist…one who has suffered excessive hardships or tragedies in life and lacks the ability to enjoy themselves. Yet they still view the world as innately good and will never be satisfied with the mediocrity that most men accept. They realize their plight is in vain, but cannot help but continue to nudge themselves in that direction, usually intoxicated. Not to be confused with the famous quote in the movie Casablanca, where the the protagonist is accused of being a ‘rank sentimentalist’. Nothing like that.

People having this affliction should seek professional help. This is a mild form of stalking and the afflicted person does not have their current emotional needs met and tries to console his or herself by looking into their past. These people also like to collect things from their youth and adolesence. Like an old salesman they go over their old leads (only the quality ones) and try to find something of value in the past, either acceptance, forgiveness, or re-assurance. John is a real mess. Everytime his life gets tough he calls his ex-girlfriends and feels like he is right back with them even when that chick hasn't heard from him in years. I think he has gross sentimentality.

Most people would same that he is a suck up, he calls it just doing his job and qoute "Doing more than others." No one really likes him even though he thinks he is the certain attention.
