Twittering

"Twittering" is a word mistakenly used to describe the action of posting a comment on Twitter. It is primarily said by people who have never used Twitter before, and only heard about it from and friend or a T.V show.

The proper word would be "tweeting" (see tweeting)

Hey man, did twitter that message to your friends? - Guy 1

No, but I tweeted the post to my followers... - Guy 2

I think I'm going to be twittering this link to everyone I know! - Guy 1

plattering

Plattering is quite possibly the best sport ever. This is the act of pooling in with at least 2 buddies (the more the merrier) to buy nearly sickening quanities of ice cream.
- For it to be considered plattering, you must have at least four ice cream flavors.
- Each person takes a plate, and serves theirself a generous scoop of each flavor
- Make sure you do it at some ones house that has enough room in the freezer
- Do not do this before a race or other strenuous activity
- Try as hard as you can to finish your plate. If you can't, its not the end of the world, but you certaintly won't look as professional as the rest, and you might earn a few sour looks because you wasted ice cream

- Butter Pecan
- Mint Chocolate Chip
- Moca Almond Fudge
- Strawberry
- Moose Tracks
- Some flavor of chocolate
- Orange Vanilla
- Any Ben and Jerry's (if your willing to pay)

- Neopolitan
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

The act of talking without noticing (or caring) if anyone is listening.

I'm watching the game on TV while my wife is on the other sofa verbal twittering. I have no idea what she's saying and it's unlikely she'll stop anytime soon to notice.

A word by people who don't actually use twitter and are probably 20 years too old to be using twitter in the first place. Whenever used, they are referring to the word "tweet", but learned about twitter from a day-time talk show hosted by a 40-year-old woman who wants to tell parents what their kids are -really- doing every week.

Brian: Hey, are you twittering?
John: No, I'm tweeting that one more person who has no idea of what twitter is just commented on it.
