A technique used for picking up ladies at the bar which requires a guy to hang out one of his girl friends and her incredibly ripped boyfriend. The guy will send Mr. Ripped to the bar to get some popcorn. He will almost certainly attract some hotties, and when he returns your friend will mark her territory to indicate that he is in fact taken. You will thus be able to hook it up with some of the easier chicks who pass by. Since this process will have to be repeated several times, you will have to yell "more popcorn" for most of the evening. This technique was made popular in the TV sitcom Scrubs.

Tom: Hey man I heard you hooked it up with some honey at the bar last night.
Jesse: Yeah, thanks to Luke and the old more popcorn trick. Works every time.

getcha popcorn ready

A phrase coined by Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys which signifies that one is about to put on a show, i.e. a spectacular performance. Refers to the act of getting one's popcorn before watching a movie.

Note posted on Terrell Owens' locker, October 2007:

"Dear Reporters,

Due to the magnitude of this week’s game and high volume of questions for the Original 81 (T.O.) about the other 81 (Randy Moss), I will be taking all questions immediately following Sunday’s game.

A Dominican Slang term that is used to characterize someone (usually young) that has money and comes from a higher socio-economic background. Typically they have the newest iphone, expensive clothes, good looking, and carry themselves with class. These individuals are also well-educated and live in the more affluent neighborhoods of the island and have experienced no economic hardship.
