It refers to the Greek goddess, Athena, and her temple in Greece. It was given the meaning of awesomeness and amazement because she is one of the most loved of the goddesses for her bravery and wisdom. It is mostly used in teen slang but has been quickly and quietly moving up to the main social media. Mostly used in the Indie scene.
