A person who prior to the playoffs, did not support nor cheer for a team until that team showed promise to win the championship.

Randy and Ryan are low dow rotten bandwagon jumpers becuase they started to cheer for the Carolina Hurricanes when they made the Stanley Cup final!

Someone who says or shows themselves to be a fan of a team who has won and gone to the bigtime, or, someone famous who recently died, though they had shown no support for them prior.

After the team won the championship,
the bandwagoneer bought their merchandise and told everybody how great a fan he was and how they "go back a long way."

A bandwagonist is someone who mindlessly goes along with an action or idea, without any real reason other than other people are doing it.

A prime example of Bandwagonists are Facebook politicans around the time of an election. They don't know why they hate David Cameron, they just do because the other people's statuses say so, and feel the urge to post similar statuses to be involved.
