Nonversation

A non-converation where two or more people greet each other but do not follow with a conversation, but instead follow with an awkward silence, that can result in figeting and short quick glances around the room.

Zack: So, how did you like my friend Michael?
Matthew: He's really nice, but after you left we had a really weird nonversation. It was really awkward!
Zack: Man, I hate those.

When you're sitting at a table full of people (pref. boisterous and social) but you're between two conversations, and no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to get into either of them.

So you end up staring at your drink.

Sad.

Alone.

"Hey Rod, why so quiet?"

"Wha--? Oh sorry -- I'm stuck in the nonversation over here."

Nomversation

A conversation centered around food. Derived from the popular expression "Om nom nom". Often occurring in health class or with friends when there is nothing left to say. The new alternative for talking about the weather.

"Yo. I love cupcakes."
"Omg! Red velvet is my FAVORITE!"
"Whoahh, this is totally a nomversation.."

"I had no idea what to say to her. It ended up being a really awkward nomversation."

"We eat so much. We are soo fat."

Nonversation

A nonversation occurs when someone talks to you (most commonly on a social networking site or via text) about something you don't care about and can't really answer back to.

If you're ever in the situation where someone is talking AT you and your brain says "I don't actually care" then you're in a NONversation!

Facebook/Skype/text pop-up...

Person A: Hey guess what
You: What?
Person A: I got a new phone!
You: Cool
Person A: Yeah its really good and now I can connect to wi-fi its really great I've downloaded some apps and its the best thing ever.
You: Cool...
---
Your brain: Dude you're in a nonversation, get out now!
---
You: Yeah so I'm going out now talk later
