derisive term for MTV-created bands who claim to be metal but actually are not. usually consists of downturned guitars, poorly played drums and bass, and teen angst lyrics screamed or rapped over this wall of noise.

Pathetic kids who spend all day at the mall (especially at Hot Topic), reeking of fake angst and despression and talk about how Slipknot is the greatest "death metal" band that ever lived.

You mallcore kids should shut up about stupid Slipknot and pick up a Blood Red Throne album for some real death metal.

Mallcore

95% of the consumers who decorate themselves with Hot Topic brand Pre-packaged punk and related materials. Known for not bathing and dressing for excessively low temperatures at all times of the year. Favored fashion includes anything related to "The Nightmare Before Christmas", the bands "HIM, Slipknot, Insane Clown Posse, and Mushroomhead". Also, pants that were manufactured for a much larger individual, and fitted with metal restraints such as chains or straps. Apparently the message is individuality and non-conformity, though to be mallcore you must conform to nonconformity and be an individual like all the other mallcore "individuals". Sweatshirts and beanies appear to be mandatory, as well as random use of safety pins. Mallcore is not to be confused with actual goth, because goth folks appear to have jobs, and pay more money for higher end pre-packaged fasion. Apparently there is a distinction. Most mallcore kids end up mall janitors, those people that wear signs for costume shops next to the freeway, or if they follow thier dreams, one day manage a hot topic.

Mallcore kid 1: "ICP is awesome"
Mallcore kid 2: "HIM defines me"
Mallcore kid 3: "I can't like ICP or HIM anymore because you like them now. All i have is this Duran Duran CD i bought"

Mallorey

Mallorey is a drop dead gorgeous girl. No questions asked. She tends to have really long legs, nice boobs, and a tiny waist. She is really funny and always does a certain weird smile. Mallorey always tells stories, and they're usually ones about her embarrassing herself in front of boys. Mallorey tends to be a total male magnet... boys be crawlin'.

Mallorey: "Hey can I borrow your bra?"
Best friend: "Mallorey.... your boobs won't fit in my bra."

mallcore

1.Mallcore is a term of derision that refers to nu-metal, since it is so closely associated with the Hot Topic stores at the malls of America. Such music, while having certain metallic tendencies, is simplistic, predictable, and, for the most part, uncreative. Thus, it cannot be considered true metal, however, these watered-down mainstream bands do lead some fans in the right direction towards true metal bands such as Slayer, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Deicide, Iron Maiden, among countless others.
2. This term can sometimes be abused by certain metalheads. Some people will say a band has gone "mallcore" any time it releases a sub par album, even if the band has no hint of mallcore influences, still plays solos, and is much too heavy to have any mainstream acceptance.

1. I used to listen to mallcore until I discovered Slayer.
2. According to Special K, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Opeth, Children of Bodom, and Cradle of Filth classify as "mallcore" since I have seen shirts sold at Hot Topic for all those bands.

The emo or goth children who are afraid of what people will say about them, so, they run aroung whining "don't lable me!!" Those children also buy all their clothing from Hot Topic and Zumies.

I wish the mallcores would stop whining saying, "don't label me!" It is easier to just say "I don't care". But they are afraid of what people will say of them.
