Its practicers are attracted to the long, phallic shape. They think they are more manly than anyone else who rolls, because of the board's penile shape and the riding style: standing stoicly like a man, without squatting, thrusting, or contorting of any sort.

No tricks of any sort, strictly manly stances. The one kinda cool thing they can do is slalom down a hill to scrub off speed, similar to a snowboarder. They will still jump off the moment things get dicey.

In reality these guys are passed by grandmas on 3-speed bicycles, even downhill.

Longboarding looks kinda cool...oh wait, that old lady just passed him on her grandma's bike.

Indeed a close mimic to the sport of skateboarding, but sometimes people who ride longboards do it because they feel it is more natural and free. If you watch some of the videos, it gives off an angelic vibe rather than 'not knowing how to ride a skateboard' and not all people who ride longboards don't know how to skateboard.

Jacob: Why do you even use a longboard if you cannot skateboard?
Mello: Because it makes me feel lighter, happy, and free.

Jacob: Hey longboarding is skateboarding too!

An excuse for people who cant skateboard. People get longboards cuz they tried skateboarding and fell on their asses trying to ollie, then causing them to get a bruise, cry themselves to sleep, wake up, then poop a little.

Longboarders do "tricks" where they step off their board and flip it with their hands. Not their feet, like in skateboarding. Then they jump back on and rejoice thinking they did something cool.

Doing tricks on longboards make you look like a dick. Like you actually have one...

In conclusion, get a skateboard.
