Any person or organization that exploits panic related to the COVID-19 pandemic by purchasing and reselling household goods to persons unable to sufficiently gather and horde “necessities” independently. Also refers to any person or organization offering free services, in a seemingly altruistic fashion, but who is really just rubbing their hands greedily at the good publicity generated by the deed.

US Senate Democrats were practically bursting with coronafreude upon discovering that pandemic-denying Republican Senators in quarantine risk losing their majority advantage.
