Similar to a husband. Gives all the right help but not completely committed. May have a family you don't know and friends you've never met. He will be a great friend to you. Will know exactly what to say at the exact moment, lending the best advice, but never emotionally available.

A Pseudo Husband is a man who is in a relationship with a woman but won't commit to marriage. Not to be confused with friends with benefits.

The act of partaking in platonic activites with a member of the opposite sex which, while appearing innocent on the surface, may be construed as inappropriate by a significant other. Pseudo-dating often involves mild flirtation and may progress to actual "dating" down the road.

My boyfriend gets very uncomfortable when I go on pseudo-dates with my handsome coworker.
