The Magic Conch was like an Indian Feather, the holder of the feather was the one who "had the floor", and was the only one who was suppose to speak.

donkey conch

while similar to a 'donkey konk' or 'donkey punch', there is a slight difference at the end. Instead of punching one's partner in the back of the head, one finds a conch shell and wacks it over one's partner's head a la lord of the flies.
