A loan taken out from your parents with the understanding that you'll pay them back when you get a real job. It is common amongst college students with parents who have disposable income.

Guy 1: Hey man, you should come to Vegas with me and my buddies next month. It's gonna be a blast.

Guy 2: Aw I wish I could, but I don't have the money right now. You know, since I'm still in school.

Guy 1: Why don't you go to the international bank of mom & dad and ask for a zero interest loan?

Guy 2: Good idea!

0% interest for x months

A sales tactic targeted mostly at people without money, good credit or low interest credit cards. Means the financial entity will keep accruing interest at a generally usurious interest rate until the conclusion of the specified number of months. If the purchase isn't paid in full by then, the buyer gets hit with an enormous "balloon" of accrued interest. Unless you can pay the purchase off quickly, you're a huge sucker.

Variable Interest Entity

Used to refer to a member of the opposite sex with whom you are sexually involved with, but you don't want the general population to know about him/her because you aren't exclusive with this individual. Also commonly referred to as a V.I.E. Typically used when the certain individual is too stupid to realize they are just being used for sex.

John: "Why didn't you bring Lauren to the office Christmas party?"

Ben: "Because she is the my V.I.E. Shhhh...before someone hears you! I am trying get with the new girl tonight."

John: "Your what?"

Ben: "Variable interest entity; we have sex occasionally but we aren't exclusive. Nor is she marriage material."
