Goomba

A Goomba, best known for being the little mushroom guys on super mario brothers has in fact grown to become more than just a description for a sideways walking creature. Everyone has seen a Goomba walk before their very eyes as they pass them on the street or at school but they just didn't know it at the time. A Goomba is one who despite looking normal (or not) does something that annoys you or is just a really awkward person to be around resulting in you calling them a "Goomba." It can also be used to say such phrases as, "Goomba, Goomba," just out of pure pleasure.

"Wow, he is definately a goomba."

Term used to define a goomba's testicles in a Super Mario game. Can also be used to describe opponents in a Nintendo game that features Mario, or to describe related characters, even including females, such as Peach, Daisy, etc.

1: "Time to kick some goomballs in New Super Mario Bros!"
2: "Finally, I kicked Bowser's goomballs once and for all!"
3: "Look out NOA Dave, I'm about to bust your goomballs in Mario Kart DS!"

a) Italian/Sicilian word in NYC's Little Italy used as a synonym for cohort, bodyguard and/or sidekick

b) in WASP English, offensive term for a dunderhead/buckwheat brain

c) adj: people who unscrupulously steal money and then dig it.

people like Bernard Madoff, Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Fouquet, Conrad Black, although legendary names among big nick diggers would only be considered a goombah under definiton c) above, since none of them was either Italian or WASP
