People from 16 to 29 who listen to indie music. They are cool people, careless about what other chavs and scums thing about them. Usually they are smart, they wear cool stuff, they have a nice hair cut and they are different, different is the right word. Most choices that they do is the right one. They don't like chavs, emo kids and metal. They usually have an ipod full of songs of the Arctic Monkeys, Libertines, Belle and Sebastian and stuff like that. They do not wear rbk cos it's too chaving. Being indie is being what everyone wish to be, but they cannot. The reason? You're born indie or you can become an indie kid if another indie lad shows you the way.

Get the Scene Kids mug.Not exactly an attitude or style, just a way to describe a person who listenes to the sub genre of punk. Usually an emo kid is bound into the music of Power Violence, Thrash, Hardcore, Pop Punk, Grind Core, Crust, and of course, Emo.
They like bands such as In/Humanity, Hour of The star, Shotmaker, Cap'n Jazz, Weep, etc.
Besides spending alot of time on Collective Zine, Underground Obituaries or Cross My Heart With A Knofe ,they spend their time at DIY shows.
These types of people are fairly uncommon in the world these days and most come from foreign countries since America has been infested with a horde of people who do not know the definition of emo or what emo was about. They often feel very passionate about the mockery of the term by either kids who say they are 'emo' when in fact they are not, or when people make fun of 'emo' by showing a male in heavy Eye Liner and tight jeans.
Trying to regain Emotional Hardcore's punk and DIY roots are most likely impossible, due to the refusal of one to accept the true definition from a true emo kid.
The fact this term is still being misinterpreted shows a big amount of ignorance when it comes to musical genres or music as a whole.
So douchebag-ish metal heads, fake punk kids, or internet nerds, take your Slayer and your fucking conformist media shit mettallica and shove it up your ass.

John was born in mid 2007, he grew up playing Club Penguin and in his later childhood played games like Roblox and Fortnite. He is a 2010s kid.

Although to a certain extent everyone is in fact a conformist, scene kids are ostrisized so heavily because the essence of what they are conforming to is unconformity unlike other types of conformists. For example,people that buy Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropastel, are conforming to the stereotypical "preppy" unlike scene kids who are conforming to the idea of unconformity. Scene kids in my opinion are a walking contradiction.
Stereotypically scene kids wear dark colors,tight jeans,makeup (including boys), have the same crazy disheveled edward scissor hands on crack hair cut, vans/crazy bitch stompn boots, anything out of the ordinary,(usually from hot topic) and etc.
