This is a totally made up thing people have made so that they can be mad or manipulate someone into going out to a date with them out of pity, for example:

Bob(overweight and doesn't care for himself): wow Becky i love you, do you love me?

Becky(a 10/10 girl) no we should be friends.
Bob: wow so rude, you friendzoned me? So rude. I was always so nice to you
Becky: how about you take care of yourself and make a person out of yourself before dating someone cause "being nice" won't land you some bitches.

Bob then goes into 4chan, reddit, or twitter to complain about this.

reverse friendzone

when your love interest friendzones you and in an effort to spark him/her interest, you pretend to friendzone him/her too by acting less interested or by talking about other girls/gals while actually still being in love with that person because you're unable to move on

Reverse Friendzone

When the girl takes the first move and the guy puts her in the friendzone.

The difference between the friendzone and the reverse friendzone is when the guy is in the friendzone it is just the friendzone, but when the girl is in the friendzone. It is the reverse friendzone because it is thought that more boys are put into the friendzone than girls, therefore it is called "the Reverse Friendzone" because it is not stereotypical.
Girls are usually put into this place when a guy is too shy to say yes or when he doesn't want a girlfriend.

Clara: So what happened with you and Jake??

Tiffany: Well, I told him how I felt and he said that he's not ready for a long-term relationship but he also said that we can still be friends.

Friendzoned

A term used to describe when someone of either sex suddenly gets cold feet or pulls out of a long relationship before making things official without warning. Usually when the other person has strong second thoughts; Sometimes due to social appeal, because of peer pressure, or because the other person has found attraction to someone else.

Historically/Culturally in certain cases; This can be due to stigma relating to the sudden discovery/or knowledge of victims birth or background and the societal pressures of cultural stigma. It can be due to social difference (popularity) and bullying (social hierarchy status).

Seems like she/he got friendzoned, not sure why.
