Pancake-waffling: the act of taking what someone said and attributing something entirely disconnected to it.

Pancake-waffled: having been the recipient of someone's pancake-waffling.
It is most often used in internet comments. The phrase comes from a famous tweet where a user described the issue by way of example: "Twitter is the only place where well articulated sentences still get misinterpreted.
