Quarantine Clean

adjective used to describe what an OCD person does to the home when bored with nothing else to do in quarantine. Each project should take no fewer than 5 hours. Projects include such things as Cleaning the oven, cleaning fridge, descaling the dishwasher, scrubbing baseboards, scrubbing grout. Will result in much satisfaction after sweating and cursing under the breath for hours on end. No more than one project per day, and each item cleaned can never. Ever. Be used or touched. Again!!!

FAKE CLEAN

A fake increase in cleaning standards just prior to having friends over to your place.

Fake clean is manifested in a rushed cursory clean, focusing on the tell tale areas that outsiders could be especially judgy about. The thoroughness of the clean will be dictated by whether the guests about to arrive are clean freaks or are fakers just like you.

For fucks sake - forget about picking up the leaves. We’ve gotta start the fake clean early, Barbi and Richard are coming for dinner!
