The off message way to describe California's proposition 8 from the 2008 election year. This propostition banned marriages between people of the same sex, and defined marriage as between a man and a woman.
In enlightened gay right's circles,t calling it "prop h8" is frowned upon. The thought being that it only viliffies the opposition and makes it hard to open communication lines between the gay and striaght communities; thus actually making it harder to get people to vote for marriage equality. No one likes to be called names.
For the angry and short sighted political gays, this is a way to express the anger they feel towards the sometimes muted hatred that often colored the campaign rallies, literature, etc.

When Prop H8 passed, it hurt me, my community, and my family. I hope you never have to experience that.

Get the Prop H8 mug.An awesome ministry taking care of all of the people's needs in terms of defining what the people need/want to know. Several alias have been given to this ministry under different governments, such as Propagandaministerium, ministry of truth, etc. Sometimes(if not most of the time) this ministry is also in charge of defining what is right for people to know. Or even think.
"The ministry of propaganda decided to censor Death note for being corrupting, vile and unrealistic. Yet they decided to allow World of Warcraft. The results are the farmers that we all know and love."

Get the Ministry of propaganda mug.a proposition in california that was voted in in 1978. it kept the property tax on houses from rising unless it was sold to somone outside the family. property tax in california, and in most other states, is what the education system gets its money from. so when prop 13 went into effect, the entire education system went into dissaray, and now the public shcool system in california has gone from being ranked 5th best in the country before prop 13 to 2nd to last after. it makes it so that there are little pockets of good schools, but the majority of public schools are no where near where they should be to teach the children of california.
libertarians pushed prop 13 through the california government, and now the public education system is 2nd from the bottom in the country.

Get the prop 13 mug.Semi-erroneous name for a command prompt in Windows.
Near as I can tell, it derives from DOS, where one would generally boot from their primary hard disk (invariably called the C Drive and be presented with a prompt that looked like "C:\>", indicating the drive they were on and their location in the directory tree.
Considered fairly obsolete, even amongst old DOS hats.

Get the propaganda mug.The spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person. The information doesn’t have to be false. It is falsely believed that education creates immunity to propaganda; a rational, skeptical outlook.
In fact, it does just the reverse. It creates in us a disposition to settle for fancy words and high-sounding slogans instead of results, which means that the educated are often more susceptible to propaganda than the common man.
