A contraction for "digital identity."
A self-imposed alias for one's exploits within the digital realm, such as video games or the internet.
Used just like "identity" is used, but in congruence with and reference to the digital.

While a mere screen name or avatar may change from website to website, one's digidentity generally remains the same.
It is common to see multiple spelling variations (often with differing suffix numbers), changes in capitalization, differing avatar photos, etc.

FanMattai is my digidentity; I use it for everything.
Though sometimes I will drop the "Fan," or one of the "T"'s depending upon the application.

Every time he goes online, he likes to leave his opinion on whatever he reads or sees, even when he doesn't really know what he's talking about; he's the biggest digidit I know.
