Someone who seems to be "God's gift from heaven" at first but as soon as anything becomes official (I.e. Marriage or signing a roommate lease) they suddenly reveal their true personalities (typically incredibly condescending and/or crazy)

He seemed so perfect until he moved in, then he turned batshit crazy. Typical bait and switch.

Luring website traffic with an active link in a short, cryptic or obscure message. Commonly used in Twitter, with bit.ly shorteners. Exploits the temptation to click first and ask questions later.

A guy who is so good looking and so appealing to girls that other guys want to hang around him because of all the women he attracts.

We went out trolling with Rob last night. That guy is total panty bait.

Nerd bait

A female character possessing all the traits likely to lure nerdy males into consuming a particular media product and included in that media product precisely for that purpose.

Such characters are usually cute and mousy, possess mathematical or scientific intelligence, often redheaded, generally nonthreatening, etc.

Examples include “Willow” from “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer” and “Chloe” from “Stargate: Universe”

Nerd 1: What do you mean Chloe isn't hot? She's my dream girl.

Nerd 2: Well, exactly. She is just too obviously Hollywood nerd bait for me to get into.

click bait

A title or preview for a website, video, or other form of media that is misleading. It either doesn't have anything to do with the media or is providing false information.

An example of click bait is a title that says "Make hundreds of dollars easy!" but then links to an article promoting a window washing company. Or, a video title like "New gameplay of GAME!" with no actual gameplay in the video.

In a Sentence:
The website said that this article would tell me how to make a lot of money but it was just promoting a company, such a clickbait title.
