A term used by IT professionals to refer to a network link, or flow of data in bits, bytes, etc. A "Bit hose" could be any I/O, yet is intended to be used in reference with networking.
In reference to a network intrusion, "Sadly, the rogues walked in through the bit hose and set up shop; most had no idea they were ever there."
