A creature residing in rural wooded areas of Georgia and North Florida. They are know for their remarkable ability to throw objects at very fast speeds sround corners and often at sharp 90 degree angles. The preferred weapon for throwing is a lighter'd knot. It is unknown where they keep the arsenal of knots, which has led many to believe that they may indeed be marsupials with a pouch that can be readily used for carrying such items. Which would also lead one to believe that only the males would launch an attack as the females would likely be carrying their young. Most hog bear encounters involve a drunk person or an older individual from a rural area.

Watch out Skeeter, that hog bear is chunking lighter'd knots.

Hog callin, also known as "hoggin", is when a group of friends go to the bar and each make a wager on who can bring home the fattest woman. Documented proof is required for judging the next day. Pictures, stolen underwear, etc. anything that can prove you slept with her and gives an indication of her size.

A group of friends and I went down to the bar the other night for a round of hog callin. I won by baggin a 350 pounder!

The 'Hog Press' of Norfolk is a closing ‘double or nothing’ bet placed against an opponent prior to playing the final hole of the round. It can only be placed by the team (or individual) who irrefutably lost bet(s) made through the second to last hole. Bet(s) still undecided heading into the final hole do not factor. The Hog Press can’t be denied and its value is equivalent to the total amount lost, no more or no less. To ‘win’ the Hog Press you must win the final hole outright. A win by the team who placed the Hog Press results in no obligation to pay the press value however a loss requires payment equal to double the press value. A tie results in payment of the original value. There’s no such thing as a baby hog press, a guinea pig, etc, that’s for pussies.
