Zayn Malik came from the group, though he left in 2015 sure to stress and what he later revealed to be an eating disorder caused by stress. The other members include Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne.
They were signed to Syco Limited before their departure from the label was announced and a smear campaign against the remaining members ensured.
The four are currently pursuing solo career, though they have started that they still have plans to come back together at some point in the future.
Their fanbase is very involved in their lives, and have raised teens of thousands of pounds for charity in their honor, as well as singlehandedly bringing songs and albums onto the charts when the band's team fell short.
