Riding redneck

When two or more people inexplicably crowd into the same side in a restaurant booth leaving the other side completely open. It looks like they are riding in the cab of pick-up truck. Usually seen at a Denny's restaurant.
I was sitting at Denny's last night and lo and behold a family of three people came in and all sat on the same side of a booth. Definitely riding redneck.

rough ride

A dark tradition of police misconduct in which suspects, seated or lying face down and in handcuffs in the back of a police wagon, are jolted and battered by an intentionally rough and bumpy ride that can do as much damage as a police baton without an officer having to administer a blow.
Q: Do you believe the Washington Post's report based on a leaked police document that Freddie Gray was intentionally "trying to injure himself" by banging against the walls of the police van?
A: Hell no, I believe that leaked police document and the Washington Post report is a cover up; any idiot can conclude Freddie Gray was mortally wounded by a rough ride ! Up in Philly they call it a nickel ride.
