Castilian

1. The original name of Spain's official language. Castilian was originally spoken in the County of Castile (Condado de Castilla)and, when Castile got independent from León, this language was spread as Castile conquered most of the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and part of America.
As the Crown of Castile was much more important, powerful and rich than the Crown of Aragon (Aragon, Valencia, Catalonia and the Balearic Isles), it became Spain's main language.
2. People born in the Spanish regions of Castile-La Mancha (Castilla-La Mancha), Madrid, Cantabria, La Rioja and the provinces of Castile and Leon (Castilla y León) which belonged to the Kingdom of Castile until Castile and Leon rejoined in 1230 (Burgos, Ávila, Segovia, Palencia, Soria and Valladolid)

2. I was born in Cuenca, so I am Castilian.

fidel castro is a common reference made towards people who think they are really cool and funny, but in actuality, they are not. when a "fidel castro" is spotted, it is usually quite hilarious because their stupidity is actually able to be seen by the human eye. it's like an aura. and, as most of us now, people really that dumb, are just plain HILARIOUS to look at. their very existance makes me want to weep tears of apathy.

Castilleja

Castilleja is a prep school for girls who, for the most part, are really smart. Most of them are hot and they like to hit on guys alot. They wear blue skirts for their uniform and REALLY like guys. Very few of them are actually gay despite rumors. All students have gone to college after school, excepting Josie Maran who is a supermodel.
