muscle memory-loss

1. When you know how to do something really well, but when you try to show people you suddenly can't seem to do it.
2. When you can do something without thinking about it, but when you consciously engage in said activity, you constantly fail at it.
I tried to show off to my friends how well I could ice skate, but I was struck by an acute case of muscle memory-loss and I fell on my ass. They wouldn't believe that I was ever good at it afterwards.

Ranboo Memory

'Ranboo memory' is a phrase, commonly used by DreamSMP fans, to refer to a bad memory, or someones forgetfulness.

While mostly DreamSMP fans use this phrase, anyone can, fan or not.
Person 1: did you get the headphones from the house?
Person 2: oh no, I forgot- I'm so sorry, I have Ranboo memory. Let me go get it!
Person 1: ???

scroll down memory lane

When you look back at your social feed and get all the feels.
I was feeling a bit down, so I took a scroll down memory lane. I’m living the dream - at least according to Meta

Finger Memory

When you've been playing video games too long and after you're done your fingers conform to the controller shape.

Also, when your fingers start pressing button and moving the joysticks on their own after constant retries at something without you even thinking about it.
1. Ahhhhhhh! Look at my hands, can you tell I've been holding an xbox controller too long? Finger memory!

2. How did I just do that? I didn't even push that button yet!
Finger memory!

3. Good thing I have finger memory right now because I forgot how to even play this game.

4. Trials HD will build up your finger memory, especially the extreme tracks, you'll be moving the stick without even thinking about it.

Need-Only-Memory

selective memory lapses suffered by the very young or the very old,(or the very cunning) when they are trying to skim over something they are guilty about, or dont want to confess to etc
She also had a distinctly selective and very volatile memory, something computer junkies would have called “Need-Only-Memory” because she remembered things only if they suited her, and otherwise resorted to a an extremely blank and innocent expression of pleasant non recognition which she had perfected down the years.
