La Plata, Argentina

This is the capital of the province of Buenos Aires. It was planned in advance, therefore his tracing of streets is perfect inside a square. It possesses avenues, squares and strategically placed diagonals that come together in the center of the city where the Cathedral and House of Government are.
It is the perfect city to live because that thing about has everything through a big city without so much chaos and descontrol as the one that exists in a big metropolis as Buenos Aires, of which it is to 47 km.

In 1881, Dardo Rocha was elected governor of the province of Buenos Aires and on the following year he sent the project of law for which one decided to found the city of "La Plata, Argentina" like cardinal piece of news of the province. On November 19, 1882 the fundamental stone was placed.

Algonquin Roundtable

A phenomenon that occurs in restaurants, most frequently at midmorning on a Sunday. A typical Algonquin Roundtable will consist of at least 3 elderly couples, preferably 5 or more. They will be seated as follows: all men on one side of the table, all women on the other side, each person facing his or her spouse. They will have all just come from church services, and will be dressed in their (often very loud) Sunday best. In addition, one of them, almost always a man, will be speaking so loudly and authoritatively that he dominates all conversation, not only at the table, but in the entire room.

We had to wait awhile for a table at IHOP because an Algonquin Roundtable was in progress.

Algona

an insignificant speck of microscopic dust on the map. This is why you can't find it. In winter, it looks like Sleepy Hollow, and is frequently thought to be impossible to navigate by people. Most mistake it for Auburn; however, this "city" (as it could qualify for a village) just got it's very own sign! In this "city" there is one store, a bar, two "parks", town hall and a coffee stand. Oh, and let's not forget the insanely long bike trail to who knows where. All in all this town is nothing special, but if you have the "pleasure" of living here: don't make even the littlest infraction against the law. The cops here are very bored and won't hesitate to stop and say "hello". Citizens of this settlement are very ferocious and will defend the signifcance of this town, no matter how right you may be; don't be fooled by their initial antispirited attitude.

an example of Algona is anywhere you suspect to be the middle of nowhere, or frequently get lost in, despite exhibiting obvious traits of civilization.
